TAX ON SALARIES. United Press Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright (Received March 20, 7.50 p.m.) CANBERRA, March 20. The scheme to tax public servants’ salaries to save £1,000,000 a year was announced in the House of Representatives by Mr Scullin. "This tax must stand or fall by the tax on interest. We will not allow one without the other,” said Mr Scullin, who mentioned that Sir Robert Gibson had stated if the Government’s financial legislation was passed, the Commonwealth Bank would not carry out Parliament’s istructions.
