BUDGET MAY BE DELAYED

ILLNESS OF MR SNOWDEN. British Official Wireless RUGBY, March 17. Mr Philip Snowden, who is suffering from cystitis, underwent an operation yesterday. He passed a good night and is going on as well as can be expected. Newspapers state that the Government may delay the introduction of the Budget if there is a prospect of the Chancellor of the Exchequer not having sufficiently recovered to undertake the task by the third week in April. Mrs Snowden, however, is confident that the patient will be quite recovered in time.
