Mrs Grear. Wellington, is on a visit to Mrs W. Priest, Bank Street.

Mrs Malcolm Guild, Temuka. has re turned from a visit to Wanganui.

Mr and Mrs Lindsay, Waikari. who have been staying at “Kelso,” Sarah Street, have left for the south.

Miss Kathleen Matier is to leave to-day by the north express to reside in Wellington. Mr and Mrs C. G. Jarman and Mr and Mrs Gillanders left the Grand for Darfield yesterday.

Mr and Mrs J. W. Fair. Douglas Street, who have been visiting Christchurch, have left for Westport. Mr and Mrs A. M. Cameron and son, Dunedin, have left the Grand for the south.

Miss Molly Rogers, Gore, who is staying with Mrs A. A. Scott. Bid will Street, will leave to-day on a visit to Fairlie.

Mrs R. H. Joyce, Avenue Road, who has taken a house in Christchurch, will leave next week to take up her residence there.

Mrs H. Hay, “Cadogan.” Sefton Street, who has been spending a week in Christchurch, returned home yesterday.

Miss Phillipa* Nairn, Hastings, who has been staying with Miss Olive Mcllwraith, Christchurch, arrived yesterday to stay with Miss Rosa Tripp, Wai-iti Road.

Lady Robb, England, who has been staying with Mrs C. H. Tripp, Wai-iti Road, left yesterday for Wellington, where she will stay at Government House.

Miss Sylvia Nevill, daughter of Canon and Mrs Nevill, of Dunedin, has left for Sydney, en route to England, to take up a Johanne Lohse Scholarship at the Montessori Training College, Hampstead, London. Miss Nevill intends to qualify for the Montessori Diploma, a two-year course, after which she will return to New Zealand to take up kindergarten work. The College is devoted to the training of girls for kindergarten and more advanced work, under the method devised by Madame Montessori, the famous Italian teacher, who personally superintends the training of each student before awarding a diploma. It will be remembered that Canon and Mrs Nevill and their family came tc Dunedin from England many years ago, so that there are many friends and relations waiting to welcome the young New Zealand relative.
