OBITUARY.
JAMES STEWART, M.P. United Press Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, March 18. The death has occurred of Mr James Stewart, a member of the House of Commons. [The late Mr James Stewart had been Labour Member for the St. Rollox Division of Glasgow since 1924. He joined the Scottish Labour Party in 1890, and was a member of the Glasgow Town Council from 1909-22. He was Under-Secretary for Health for Scotland in 1924.]
MRS McINTOSH. By Telegraph—Press Association HOKITIKA, March 19. Mrs Mclntosh, wife of the proprietor of the Red Lion Hotel, passed away last night, after a short illness. She was well-known throughout the Dominion, and was highly respected. She leaves her husband and a grownup family of one son and seven daughters.
