THE W.C.T.U.
DOMINION CONVENTION. By Telegraph—Press Association NELSON. March 19. The Dominion convention of the Womens Christian Temperance Union, in welcoming Miss May Moffatt, testified to her efforts for the betterment of conditions, especially of women and children in the Dominion. The president, Mrs T. E. Taylor, said the Union acted as it thought best for the good of the people, and trusted the benefit would be derived from legislation promoted by the Union. If only the women of the Churches realised how they were hampered in their work for their children, the Union would soon have an 80,000 membership.
