Mr F. L. Wooles. Wind variable breezes, moderate to fresh, south to east ruling; weather somewhat changeable, but mainly fair. Dominion Meteorologist. A further intense depression is moving eastwards of the Dominion. An anti-cyclone Is advancing from the Tasman Sea. Expect strong southerly winds, reaching gale force In places, especially on the East Coast of the South Island from Cook Strait. Seas heavy in Foveaux Strait, moderate north of Castlepoint; elsewhere rough. Weather still changeable, with showers In most districts, heavy on parts of the East Coast of the South Island; improving soon in western districts. Cool temperatures.
