The directors of Beath and Co., Ltd, have decided to pay the usual halfyearly dividend of 22 per cent, for the half-year on preference shares, and five per cent on ordinary shares. Share depositors will receive 5 per cent, interest for the half-year on deposits. TEKAPO SHEEP SALE. The annual sheep sale at Lake Tekapo was held on Saturday. The weather was wet in the early part of the day but cleared later. The yarding totalled between 10,000 and 12,000 sheep and lambs, and a complete clearance was made by 1 p.m., but prices were on a very low plane, ewes being sold at as low as 4d. Among the sale were the following:— Lambs.—44o halfbred wether lambs, 1/11, 523 do 2/9, 258 do. 4/1; 727 Merino wether lambs 1/1, 486 halfbred wether lambs 1/1, 220 quarterbred wether lambs 1/9; 182 halfbred mixed sex lambs 6/3, 1105 do. 3/1, 425 halfbred wether lambs 1/6. Wethers.—9o halfbred 4-tooth wethers 3/11, 25 do. 4/6, 220 halfbred 2tpoth wethers 3/2; 367 2-tooth Merino wethers 5/-. Ewes.—4s3 mixed ewes, 8d; 176 halfbred ewes (aged), 2/3; 176 do. 9d; 300 Merino ewes 1/1; 435 halfbred aged ewes 1/-, 587 do. 5d and 6d; 468 halfbred ewes 1/1 and 1/6, 218 do. 2/9 and 3/-, 202 2-tooth half-bred ewes 8/3, 100 do. 12/-; 183 2-tooth ewes 10/3; 93 aged ewes, 29/- the lot; 94 aged ewes £5/7/6 the lot. Fifty lambs were passed, the only bid being 10/- for the line.
