Acceptances for the Timaru Trotting Club’s meeting are due at 9 o’clock to-morrow (Tuesday). The annual meeting of the Timaru Ladies’ Golf Club will be held to-night in Mr A. C. Martin’s office. “It is rather a pity that the numberplates of cars are not inscribed with the counties and districts in which they are issued,” remarked Mr Edwin Thomas at the Waikato agency meeting of the Auckland Automobile Association.
