D’edin . Mar. 13 NOTES. The unfortunate weather on Saturday was the means of delaying two coastal vessels at Timaru. The Calms cargo was loaded under awnings, and the vessel was able to proceed to Lyttelton. , , The Calm shipped general cargo for Wellington and Wanganui at Timaru on Saturday, and sailed for the north. The Progress arrived on Saturday frbm Dunedin, to load for Wellington, New Plymouth and Waikato. She should sail to-day for Lyttelton. Tile Breeze arrived on Saturday night from Wellington, to discharge northern cargo. She should go on to Dunedin to-day. The Katoa reached Timaru on Saturday from Lyttelton, to discharge Australian cargo, including timber. It is expected that she will go on to Akaroa to-day. The Storm, on the Wellington and Wanganui run, is due to-morrow from Dunedin. The John is expected to reach Timaru on Wednesday from Dunedin, to load general cargo for Wellington, New Plymouth and Waikato Heads. Overseas. The Tairoa arrived on Saturday from Oamaru. To-day the vessel is expected to commence loading frozen meat, wool and general cargo for the United Kingdom. The motor vessel Port Alma arrived yesterday morning from Bluff, and berthed at No. 3 wharf. The vessel is to load frozen meat and general cargo for the Homeland. The Canadian Highlander is set down to arrive on Friday from Lyttelton, to discharge and load Canadian and American general cargo. The Shaw, Savill steamer Maimoa is at present at Port Chalmers discharging Home cargo. She also loads at

Port Chalmers for the return trip, completing later at Timaru, Lyttelton, Bluff and Wellington. The Federal Line steamer Somerset is scheduled to reach Lyttelton from London about March 11. The vessel has a general merchandise cargo, | whicl will be unloaded at Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, Timaru and Nelson. After completion of discharge the vessel will load for England at Nelson, Wanganui, Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, and Wellington. She is to be despatched from Wellington for London on April 21. OVERSEAS.
