VERDUN’S DEAD.
GRIM DISCOVERIES REPORTED. United Press Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright (Received March 5, 9.30 p.m.) PARIS, March 4. It was revealed in the Chamber of Deputies by the Mayor of Verdun that the recent work, thereabouts resulted in the discovery of bodies at the rate of eleven per day. The Premier replied that he proposed to ask Parliament for a substantial sum to enable a systematic search of the battlefields and the reverent burial of all bodies. He regretted the question had only arisen thirteen years after the war.
