WORKMAN KILLED.
ANOTHER GRAVELY INJURED. By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, March 5. One man was killed and another gravely injured when a number of heavy condenser coils collapsed at the Auckland Farmer’s Freezing Company’s premises this afternoon. John Logan was killed, and William David McLean was injured. Both were middle-aged married men. They were placing the condensers, each weighing one ton, in position, when they collapsed like a pack of cards. Both men were crushed and received terrible injuries to the head and body. Both were alive when extricated, but Logan soon died, and McLean’s condition is very serious.
