THE WEATHER.
Mr F. L. Wooles. Wind moderate to fresh north-east; weather fair and mild. Dominion Meteorologist. An anti-cyclone still covers New Zealand, its centre having moved further north since yesterday. A shallow depression is moving across the Tasman Sea. Expect light to moderate variable winds, gradually tending northerly and later freshening somewhat in Cook and Foveaux Straits. Seas generally smooth to moderate. Weather fair to fine generally, with rising temperatures; scattered showers later in South Westland, and about Foveaux Strait.
