FATALITY ON BALLAST TRAIN. By Telegraph—Press Association DUNEDIN, March 4. A married man named William Forrester, of Portobello, was killed at St. Leonard’s this afternoon. He was working on a ballast train, near the new station, and it is thought that he fell a truck, the wheels of which passed over him, and killed him instantaneously. DOCTOR’S SUICIDE. By Telegraph—Press Association MASTERTON, March 4. A verdict that death was due to chloroform anaesthesia self-adminis-tered was returned at the inquest today on Dr Herbert Guy Moser (42), who was found dead in his surgery at Masterton on Tuesday afternoon. Evidence went to show that deceased was in unusually bright and cheerful spirits earlier in the day, and had no financial or domestic worries but suffered from hay fever and occasional attacks of faintness. When found in the surgery, deceased was lying on a couch with his head and face covered with oiled silk, and there was a piece of cotton wool lying near him.
