DAMAGE BY RAIN.
WIDE AREA INUNDATED. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright HOBART, March 4. Heavy rains throughout Tasmania caused flooding in a number of rivers, interrupting road traffic. The roads in many places are under water. The Ellendale township is threatened by waters from the Jones river. The bridge over the Florentine was washed away and many others were .severely damaged.
