COOK STRAIT SWIM.
ATTEMPT DEPENDS ON WEATHER By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, March 4. Although she has not yet made any definite decision as to the date of her proposed Cook Strait swim, indications are that Miss Mercedes Gleitze will perhaps make an attempt about March 14th, or the following six days. The attempt will depend on the weather, which has been unsuitable for the past month. She is still hopeful that favourable weather may break about the middle of the month. Miss Gleitze and her husband, who are in Wellington, intend leaving for the south tomorrow.
