COAL CONTROL.

MODIFICATION PROPOSED. United Press Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, March 3. The Coal Bill drafted by the Minister of Labour, Mr Baddely, to place the regulation of coal mining under a board, may be scrapped owing to constitutional difficulties. Cabinet Ministers approved of the scheme, but it was pointed out that it could not operate unless certain legislation were passed by the Federal Government.

The Federal Government has signified its willingness to assist the New South Wales Government to place the control of coal mines under a board. Mr Scullin has assented to the necessary legislation being introduced.
