SENSATIONAL ARRESTS IN TURKEY. United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright (Received December 29, 7.30 p.m.) CONSTANTINOPLE, Dec. 29. Numerous arrests of Dervish sheiks, including the grand chief, followed upon an attempted revolt in Menemen, in which five were killed. The Government discovered a widespread conspiracy among the former heads of the Dervish monasteries, which were abolished by the Government some years ago.
