LAUNDRYMAN MISSING.
LORRY FOUND NEAR RIVER. By Telegraph—Press Association. GREYMOUTH, August 3. Samuel Rothera (30), married, proprietor of a laundry at Greymouth, has been missing since Friday night, when he went to Dobson. Rothera, who formerly had been employed at the Dobson mine, had gone with another man in a motor-lorry in order to collect his pay as a miner. Since then there have been no tidings of Rothera, and the police are searching for the man who accompanied him. The lorry was on Saturday found parked alongside the Taylorville bridge, near Dobson. Rothera’s wife is at a loss to account for his whereabouts. It is understood that he left <the mine owing to a heart ailment, and it is feared that he may have been drowned in the Grey River.
