Eastwood is now out of hospital, according to messages from Hamilton. The four and eight-oared shells for the New Zealanders arrived, as well as Pearce’s boat to-day. Practically all the New Zealanders and the Australian athletes got down to work. They express the greatest satisfaction with the comfort of their quarters. The New Zealand scullers are fraternising with members of the local Leander Club, with whom they will train. The arrival of the Australians and New Zealanders has renewed enthusiasm and interest in games.
