There were now three buses operating daily between Geraldine and Timaru, he said, and on Friday last he estimated that over 120 Geraldine residents made the trip to Timaru. “It is bad for business,” he claimed. There was no real remedy, he thought, but if the business men in the town banded together and kept good stocks, and the weekly half-holiday was i brought in line with the larger centres, I he was sure they could do much to I preserve the quiet prosperity of Geraldine.
