SOCIAL SERVICE
ARMY BRIGADIER’S GOOD WORK. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, July 17. After 22 years’ service as Salvation Army probation officer in the Wellington Magistrate’s Court, Mrs Brigadier Glover is retiring, and will shortly leave for England, where she will spend some time with relatives before returning. Few women or girls have come before the Magistrates or Judges with whom Mrs Glover has not been asked to deal, and in many instances they have been reclaimed with excellent results. A farewell was tendered to Mrs Glover to-night, at which Mr Justice Biair, Mr Dallard (Director of Prisons), Magistrates, and others paid tribute to her excellent social work.
