Pyjama Suits the Latest Vogue:

Dress designers are finding almost as many kinds of trousers as skirts. Every season something different appear for pyjamas which do not seem to wane very much in popularity. This year there is the rather cockney cut which now and again merges into the cowboy. Bell-shaped trousers are made to many of the pyjama suits, and these are worn with a loose short and with a very wide, flapping hat. The shirt and trousers are quite effective. The wide hat, which should be comfortable for sitting about on the beaches, has, it must be confessed, a rather vulgar effect. Moreover, what is going to be done about sunburn? The shady hat has been given the go-by entirely in the interests of sunburn, so that it looks as though the lily-white skin were coming back again, together with the more irrational fashions. Some pyjama suits are being made rather like yachting suits. .That is to say, they have a smart blue, doublebreasted coat with white trousers, having very broad ends. Sometimes the blue are finished off with brass buttons. Here and there pyjama suits have boleros over the loose shirt. The tendency, ineed. is rather on the lines of the wild and woolly west. As a sleeping suit, the pyjama seems to be giving way again to the nightdress. This is becuse of the Greek styles which are increasing, and which are also applied very prettily to underclothes. There are deep V necks and the body part is held with crossed strappings of classic guise. Perhaps the pyjama will be the refuge from trailing skirts, high collars, and even stays, and as such it is to be welcomed instead of being regarded as a rather theatrical method of clothing one-self.
