AGRICULTURAL SCHG That Geraldine is an ideal site for the the establishment of an agricultural High School is the claim of Mr T. D. Burnett, M.P., who has communicated with the Geraldine Town and District Association, the Geraldine School Committee, and the Geraldine Farmers’ Union, urging the to co-oper-ate in an endeavour to form an agricultural school at Geraldine similar to those at Rangiora and Feilding. At a meeting of the Town and District Association on Tuesday night, the secretary (Mr J. B. Stewart) reported that he had communicated with he chairman of the School Committee (Mr A. M. Fyfe) and the headmaster (Mr A. F. Barrel!), and had learned from them that they were very much in favour of the scheme, and would do all in their power to bring it about. Mr Burnett had promised that in about a month’s time he would address a meeting at Geraldine, outlining his idea. Mr Stewart said he thought the matter should be one of the principal aims of the Association during the forthcoming year. The president (Dr. P. W. Hislop) said that he thought the scheme an excellent one. It was a matter which the Association should assist as much as they possibly could. Mr J.
