HOCKEY.
ASSOCIATION OF SOUTH CANTERBURY. A meeting of the Managament Committee of the South Canterbury Hockey Association was held last night. Present: Mr W. Gow (chairman), Messrs Cook, Rennett, Annear, Dockrill, Hughes, Lack and Mrs Pearce and the secretary. Correspondence was received from the New Zealand, Southland and North Otago Association^. It was decided to enter a team for the New Zealand ladies’ championship at Invercargill. The advisability of trial matches was discussed, and it was decided to ask the Geraldine Sub-Association to arrange games for July 31. The secretary was Instructed to write to the North Otago Men’s and Ladies’ Associations, suggesting August 9 for representative games at Oamaru. It was decided to commence the fourth round of the men’s competition on July 26. WINCHESTER CLUB. The following will represent Winchester against Geraldine on Thursday, at Winchester, at 3:—E. Townley, J. Aker, M. Aker, G. Aker, M. Patrick, P. South, M. de Renzy, K. Aker, A. Townley, R. Woodley, G. South.
