THE WEATHER.
Mr F. L. Wooles. Wind moderate and variable northerly to westerly ruling; weather fair. Dominion Meteorologist. An anti-cyclone extends from Sydney to northern New Zealand, but pressure is still of the westerly type in southern latitudes. Expect winds south-westerly to westerly, moderate generally, but strong at times about Cook and Foveaux Strait. Seas rough in Foveaux Strait; elsewhere smooth to moderate. Weather changeable and showery in West Coast and southern districts of the South Island; some scattered showers also on the West Coast of the North Island, but mainly fair to fine in eastern districts. Temperatures cool to moderate.
