RAIL AND MOTOR.
LINKING} UP OF SERVICES. By Telegraph.—Press Association NAPIER, July 11. The first big step in the co-ordina-tion of rail and motor services in New Zealand has been made in Hawke’s Bay, and will enable travellers by rail from any part of the Dominion to leave the railway at either Napier or Rotorua, and still using their railway ticket, travel overland by motor car to Taupo or Gisborne, until they join the railway again, at either Napier or Rotorua.
The new arrangement is to operate from Monday morning next.
The agreement is for a period of three years.
