TRANSFERRING FEATHERS.
The best way to transfer feathers or down from one pillow or cushion to another is to open the pillow with the feathers in about 6in. along one of the seams. Have a similar opening in the new one. Pin the two openings together and then oversew them together temporarily with soarse stitches. Now shake hard. The job will soon be well and truly done without any mess or bother at all.
When wearing crepe rubber-soled shoes don’t go too close to a fire, as the rubber melts when exposed to heat.
