NJOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEfr that at a Special Meeting of the Waimate County Council held on the 28th day of May, 1930, the following resolution was passed:—

“ That in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 4 of “The Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, the Waimate County Council hereby resolves and declares, by way of Special Order, that the plant “ Hemlock ” is a Noxious Weed within the County of Waimate.” The said resolution will be submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the said Council to be held on the 29th day of JULY, 1930, at 11 L. DUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY 1 * GIVEN that in accordance with the provisions of “ The Counties’ Act, 1920,” “The Rating Act, 1925,” “The Timaru Harbour Board Empowering Act, 1890,” Sections 4 and 5 and other Acts amending same, it is the intention of the Waimate County Council at its Meeting to be held on TUESDAY, 29th day of JULY. 1930, to make and levy a General Rate of l-6th of a penny in the pound on the Unimproved Value of all rateable property as shown in the Valuation Rolls now in force for that portion of the Waimate County as is included in the Timaru Harbour District.

The said rate to be for the period commencing on the Ist day of APRIL, 1930, and ending on the 31st day of MARCH, 1931, and to be payable in one sum on the 14th day of AUGUST, 1930, at the office of the Waimate County Council, Queen Street, Waimate.

AND in accordance with the provisions of “The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1908,” and Amendments thereto a rate of 9-40ths of a penny in the pound on the Capital Value of all rateable property appearing on the Valuation Rolls now in force for the year commencing oil the Ist day of APRIL, 1930, and ending on the 31st day of MARCH, 1931.

Such rates to be due and payable in one sum on the 14th day of AUGUST, 1930, at the office of the Waimate County Council, Queen Street, Waimate.
