BATHING TRAGEDY.
SIX BOYS PERISH. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, July 9. A bathing tragedy occurred at Blackpool. Ninety-one boys, belonging to St. Aiden's School were camping in the neighbourhood, when the majority went in for a bathe. Several, caught in the receding tide, threw up their arms and shouted for help. Bystanders at first thought it part of the general merriment. When they realised the danger it was too late to effect a rescue and all six were drowned. Two were gallantly rescued.
