THE WEATHER.
Dominion Meteorologist. The northern cyclone passed the northern extremity of the Dominion last night. Another cyclone is likely to develop in the southern Tasman Sea. Expect winds south-east, still strong to gale force from Cook Strait northwards, but decreasing gradually; elsewhere moderate. Seas rough north of Farewell Spit and Keikoura, elsewhere moderate. Weather still changeable with passing showers on the East Coast and parts of the Cook Strait region, and heavy at times in the East Cape and Gisborne district; mainly fine in western districts and improving ! generally to-morrow. Cold tempera- ; tures.
