/ Mr F. L. Wooles. Wind increasing south to south-east; weather cold and showery, with snow in Mackenzie Country. Dominion Meteorologist. The intense northern cyclone has moved southwards, and to-day has been centred near Cape Maria. Expect winds easterly to southerly, strong to gqle force from Cook Strait northwards; elsewhere moderate but freshening. Seas heavy north of East Cape, rough thence southwards to Kaikoura and on the West Coast of the North Island; elsewhere moderate. Weather stormy north of Auckland and unsettled generally over the North Island, and the north-east districts of the South Island, with rain and falls in the northern and East Coast districts, with some flooding still fair over most of the South Island, but cloud increasing and showers developing in the eastern portion. Cold temperatures.
