MINE DISPUTE.
SETTLED IN UNION’S FAVOUR. \ By Telegraph —Press Association PREYMOUTH, July 9. Tfre dispute at the Dobson'mine was settled to-day. The District Disputes Committee considered the matter without reaching a decision, and an independent chairman (Mr H. G. Carter) was called as arbitrator. The question was whether the mine management was justified in refusing the minimum rate to four miners whom the Union held ere unable to earn such a rate owing to various adverse factors in their working pl&je. The decision was that the clause in the agreement providing a minimum should apply to the four men.
