THE CANCER MENACE.
To the Editor of the “ Tlmaru Herald.” Sir, —Seeing the campaign statistics in connection with the cancer scourge, has raised the “Fear o’ Death” in us all, perhaps our medical men would publish a few facts to allay these fears, which would enable us to recognise dread symptoms which arise. So many were unable to attend the lectures, and yet may have to have that fatal “taken too late” pronounced over them, through ignorance. If only medical examinations could be encouraged without one being termed neurotic, or an hypochondriac, then would many early symptoms be identified and perhaps cured.—l am, etc., ACHES AND PAINS.
