DECLINE IN PRICES. United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY. July 8. The sales of stud sheep exhibited at recent show, reveal a decline of 50 per cent, in values. Three Border Leicester rams on account W. O. Bennie. Canterbury, New Zealand, averaged £l2 '5/-, five ewes averaged £7 11/2. On account of O’Neill Bros.. Wanganui. 125 stud Southdown ewes brought eight guineas each. On account of J. R. Lowe. Canterbury. Three Border Leicester rams averaged £ls/8/-. On account of L. E. Myers. Canterbury. Eight flock Border Leicester rams sold at seven guineas each, five ewes at eight guineas. On account of Donald Grant, Timaru. Two Border Leicester rams averaged £9/16/6, four others averaged £l4/3/6, three ewes £9/2/-. On account T. S. Little. Oamaru. six Border Leicester stud rams averaged £l4/3/6. On account of David Sidey, North Canterbury, two Southdown stud rams sold at £lO 10 - each, ten flock rams averaged £7/17/6, five Corriedale flock rams five guineas each. The highest price paid for a Border Leicester ram to-day was 575 guineas. The highest for a Corriedale 100 guineas, for a two-year ram, belonging to T. B. MacFarlane, of Merriwa, New South Wales.
