IMPERIAL CONFERENCE.
STATEMENT BY MR J. H. THOMAS British Official Wirele r RUGBY, July 5. Mr J. H. Thomas, Secretary for the Dominions, said yesterday that the Government intended to leave the coming Imperial Conference free to consider every problem on its merits, without prejudice or bias, adding: “It will be prepared to discuss with the singleminded desire of finding a solution of every Imperial question, on which so much attention ic at present being focussed. To say more than that -tfould be dangerous, and calculated to do harm by building up hopes and expectations which may not be realised.
