WHOLESALE SUSPENSIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON. June 2. Following on the recent break in tha Port Nicholson Amateur Road Cycling Club, both sections opened their season the same day, and have since been running races. One of the sections wrote to the Wellington Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, after the break had occurred, asking for a cancellation of its affiliation with them, adding that they were now affiliated to the New Zealand Union of Cyclists, and (through them to the world controlling body. The letter was referred on to the Council of the N.Z.A.A.A., which met this evening. The question of dis-afflliation w r as held over for the present, and the Council passed a drastic motion suspending all its registered cyclists and officials who had taken part or assisted in any way in the races run by the N.Z.U.C, section of the club. The Wellington Centre is to be notified of this wholesale suspension, and is to be asked for a list of those concerned.

The professional body is to be notified, too, and the suspended men will be asked to show cause within a fortnight why they should not be disqualified.

The motion was moved by Mr E. Guy, who said that the only course for the Council was the same as it took with the offending Manukau Club.
