New Interest has been aroused in the great race of wind-jammers from Australia, by the performance of the Finnish barquentine Mozart, which completed the passage from Melbourne in ninety-three days, against the Pommern’s 105 days, the Herzogin Cecile’s 110 days, and the Favell’s 115. The Mozart, however, came home in ballast. Hence it is a question for the experts whether or not she enjoyed an advantage.
