BRITAIN’S GIANT AIRCRAFT.

Handling Unwieldy Craft,

GIGANTIC CLAWS PROVIDED. (United Pres# Association—By Mectrlf Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received, April 29, 9.20 p.m.) LONDON, April 29. Two enormous claws, capable of doing the work of a thousand human beings, with frankensteinian precision, are now being prepared at Cardington air station. Mounted on a trolley, running on a concrete embedded rails, the claws, will be used for handling RIOO and RlOl The device moves the airships from the sheds, even in a stiff wind, whereas hitherto operations had to wait until there was absolute calm, as the 500 men at present employed cannot drag the airship from the shed when it is windy. It is also hoped the new claws will avert the danger of vessels crashing its hull against the girders of the shed as happened to RIOO last week, thereby smashing an elevator, and delaying the airships flight to Canada.
