CHAMPION TOURNEY NEARING CLOSE. By Telegraph—Pr«i* Aaaociatlon. INVERCARGILL, April 25. Play in the Dominion draughts tournament was continued on Thursday, when some of the players completed 36 games. The final games in the tournament will take place to-morrow, and a close finish appears almost certain. J. Lucas (Dunedin) topped the list, but he has completed his play, and at least three players are within striking distance of his score. D. Calderwood (Hamilton) is only one point behind Lucas, and has three games to play, and his possible is 28. The first four places will probably be shared by Boreham, Calderwood. Lucas and Brown.
