CONVERSATION FOR CONVICTS.
Convicts at Dartmoor, who have served 18 months, are to be allowed to converse with each other between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Captain Clayton, the governor of the prison, has obtained this privilege for the convicts, for which he has striven for months.
During work outside the prison the groups of men have talked together, but inside the prison strict silence has been the order hitherto.
