Yesterday’s cyclone has passed to the eastwards, but another depression is advancing from the Southern Tasman Sea, and is likely to cross the South Island to-night. Epect winds moderate to strong westerly to south-westerly, but south-westerlies becoming general during to-morrow. Seas rough on the West Coast and south of Castlepoint; moderate north of Castlepoint. Weather cool and changeable, with showers in most districts; heavy at places on the West Coast.
