INTERESTING BY-ELECTION PENDING. (British Official Wirelesa.) Received April 9, 7.30 p.m. RUGBY, April 9. A very interesting by-election will take place shortly in West Fulham, one of London’s constituencies. Dr. Spero (Labour) won the seat last general election from the Conservatives, who had held in for many years. He is now resigning owing- to ill-health. A new Labour candidate is forthcoming in Mr Bonfield, a member of the local Borough Council, who is very popular amongst the workingclass of the constituency. At the general election the figures were: Dr. Spero (Labour), 16,190; Sir Cyril Cobb (Conservative), 13,079; G. A. Gale (Liberal), 5920.
