LIBERALS DEFEATED IN SOUTH ' AUSTRALIA. I United Pre6? Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright.) ADELAIDE, April 9. The scrutiny of votes cast at the State elections is proceeding slowly, but it is apparent that the Labour majority is increasing its lead, and Mr L. L. Hill (leader of the Party), seems assured of at least 30 members. It is not yet known whether the exPremier, Mr R. L. Butler, can retain his seat, but three of his Ministers are defeated. The probable state of the parties in the new Parliament is:— Labour 30 Liberal 13 Country 2 Independent 1
