Owners Offer Compromise. RANKS OF MINERS DIVIDED. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, April 8. Received April 8, 8.55 p.m. Aggregate meetings of coal miners were held in the Maitland fields today. Three meetings voted strongly against acceptance of the compromise proposals. At Paxtoq, the men favoured acceptance by a large majority.
