Subject to any necessary alteration, mails will close at the Chief Post Office, Timaru, as under:— Registered letter mails elose one hour, and newspapers and parcel mails close 45 minutes earlier than ordinary letter mails. Orari, Rar.gitata, Hinds: Daily, 6 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. For Waimate: Daily, 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. For Oamaru and all T ntermediate For Temuka and Geraldine: Daily, Offices: Daily, 6 a.m. and 10.45 a.m. For Waimate, Oamaru, Dunedin, Invercargill, and all Southern Offices: Daily, 10.45 a.m. and 2.45 p.m. For Fairlie, Pleasant Point, etc.: Daily, G a.m. and 3.30 p.m. For Fairlie and Hermitage: Daily, per car, at 10.45 am. For Dunedin and Christchurch (night trains): Daily, 7 p.m., excepting Sunday. (Letters only.) For Oamaru and Invercargill: Wednesday, Friday and Saturday: 7 p.m. (Letters only.) At 2.45 p.m. Mails for Great Britain, Ireland, Continent of Europe (specially addressed correspondence only), via Monte Video, also all States of South America, per Raranga at Port Chalmers. THURSDAY, APRIL 10. At 3.15 p.m. For Australian States, South Africa, Ceylon. India, Japan, China, Straits Settlements and Egypt; also Great Britain, Ireland and Continent of Europe (correspondence must be marked “via Australia”), per Maunganui, at Wellington. (Due London May 18tli.) INCOMING OVERSEAS MAILS. 9th April—S.S. Maunganui, from Sydney. Australian mail. 10th April—S.S. lonic, from London. English parcel mail. Newspapers addressed to United States of America must be prepaid at the rate of id each 2oz. Letters containing Postal Notes, Bank Notes and Valuables, should be Registered. Registration costs only 3d, and ensures absolute safety. Late fee letters for “Express Mails” will close 15 minutes after the closing of the mails at the Chief Post Office, Timaru. C. R.
