WEDDING.

O'CONNOR—WILSON. A pretty wedding was recently solemnised by the Rev. P. Gladstone Hughes in Chalmers Presbyterian Church, Timaru, when Edith, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Andrew Wilson, was married to Michael, third son of Mrs O’Connor, and the late Timothy O’Connor, of Orari. Mr J. Fraser presided at the organ. The church was beautifully decorated by girl friends of the bride, with a profusion of pink flowers, relieved with touches of mauve blue and cream. The bride, who entered the church on her father’s arm, wore a very graceful gown of white georgette with uneven hem line, slightly pouched bodice, and long tight sleeves, and a wide swathed sash tied in a large bow at the side. Her beautiful embroidered veil was simply arranged with a posy of orange blossom on either side. A silver lace train, lined with pale pink georgette, fell gracefully fron* her shouldere. Following the bride, came a little flower girl, Rona Hamlyn, dressed in pale blue crepe de chine, with a tight sleeveless bodice, and the skirt trimmed with dainty frills. A dainty little head band, of pink mauve and blue flowers, black shoes, blue silk stockings, and a little blue posy, added the finishing touches. The bride was attended by Miss Wynne Hadlee, who was dressed in pale pink georgette, made with a long bodice, the frilled skirt made knee length in front an# ankle length at the back. She wore a head-band of silver leaves and pearls, and silver brocaded shoes, and carried a shower bouquet to tone with her frock. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Basil Harris, of Christchurch as best man. After the ceremony, Mr and Mrs Wilson entertained their guests at the Wentworth Hall, the hostess wearing a silver grey moracain frock, black hat touched with silver, and carried a bouquet of red roses and maiden hair fern.

Later in the day when Mr and Mrs O’Connor left for the south, the bride was wearing a nigger brown celanese frock, nigger brown felt hat, and coat to match, trimmed with coney fur. In the evening Mr and Mrs Wilson gave an enjoyable dance in the Wentworth Hall.
