MORGAN DEFEATED. By Telegraph —Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 7 The professional welterweight contest to-night between Ted Morgan (Wellington), lOst 41b, and Jack Paul (Dunedin), lOst 221 b, went the full
distance of fifteen rounds, Paul winning on points. The result was a surprise. , . . . „ Paul showed cleverness in blocking Morgan’s left. Morgan was knocked down in the fourteenth round, being saved from the count by the gong. The crowd were so excited that they surged round the ring. The decision was a popular one.
