TREATY WITH EGYPT.
NEGOTIATIONS IN ENGLAND. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph--Copyright.) LONDON, April 3. It is understood that the Anglo - Egyptian Treaty negotiations took an important turn at this morning’s meeting. Nahas presented comprehensive counter proposals, to the Mahmoud draft treaty. It is believed they include a demand for dual control of the Suez Canal, in other words that Egypt should equally share the protection of the Canal, with Britain. It is further proposed that Egypt should virtually have sole occupation. Neither the Foreign Office nor the Egyptian legation offers the slightest comment.
