RICH LEGACIES
ESTATE OF LATE JOHN BROWN. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.? SYDNEY, April 4. Sir Adrian Knox and Mr T. Armstrong are the principal beneficiaries under the will of the late Mr John Brown. They share equally in the property, after legacies amounting to £15,250 are paid. The value of the will has not been disclosed. Among the bequests under the will is Darbalara Station, near Gundagai, which Sir Adrian Knox receives. This is worth at least £144,000, apart from the stock and homestead. Darbalara is the home of herds of farmers’ milking shorthorns, which number nearly five hundred. Sir Adrian Knox, in addition to receiving a legacy of £IO,OOO, shares the coal mining properties equally with Mr Thomas Armstrong, the present general manager for Messrs J. and A. Brown. A legacy of £7,500 is also provided, under the will, to Leslie Bower, stud groom and manager at Darbalara.
