LATEST DESCRIPTION OF LONDON (United Press Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received February 21, 8.25 p.m.) LONDON, February 20. The “world’s switch board,” was the picturesque description applied to London when the direct telephone service opened with the Vatican city, via Rome. London is now in direct communication with eighteen Continental countries, including the United States. Canada, Cuba and Mexico, whereas in 1922 only Paris and Brussels were connected. An announcement regarding the outcome of the experiments to Australia is expected shortly.
